Approaching billions in total income
Total contributions to SOS Children’s Villages in Iceland have never been higher, according to the company’s annual report 2024. They amount to 952 million, of which 884 million from sponsors.
In 2024, there was a record year in the operation of the SOS Children’s Villages in Iceland. Total contributions of sponsors totaled 884 million and the association’s income was 19% higher than the previous year, which was also a record year according to the SOS Children’s Village website in Iceland.
Total income approaches billions
The association’s total revenues were 952 million this year. The organization has thus outlined UNICEF total revenue, which amounted to ISK 849 million.
The organization boasts a low proportion of operating expenses, by 14.5%, which allows them to dispose of 85.5% of the contributions in the association’s own work for the unpaid and disadvantaged children around the world.

Genetic Gifts a big part of the income
A large portion of the association’s income this year can be attributed to Genetic gifts by Baldvin Leifssonengine, sliding and boatmakers.
The genetic is the largest in the history of the association in Iceland and amounts to 128 million. Its 23 million have already been allocated to college education in Rwanda.
