Applications for Media Achievement and Incentive Awards have begun – Cyprus Newspaper

Applications for the Turkish Cypriot Journalists Association (KTGB) Media Achievement and Incentive Awards have started.

According to a statement from the Association of Journalists, applications can be made to the KTGB Secretary between 9.30-14.30 until Monday, June 16.

Applications for the Media Achievement and Incentive Awards given on the Press Day celebrated every year on July 11 can be made directly by the owner of the work, as well as members of the Journalists Association can make suggestions for other members.

“Media Achievement Awards” written press is given to honor journalists in the fields of new media and radio and television, while the “Incentive Awards” will be given to journalists and communication students and/or new graduates, provided that the work periods in the profession do not exceed a maximum of five years.

In addition to the Media Achievement and Incentive Awards, the Specialist Special Award for Peace Journalism ”, Hakan Hakan Çakmak Culture and Art Award in the Media” and the “Academic Study Award that contributes to the profession of journalism”.

Özgül Gürkut Mutluyakalı, Metin Ersoy, Huri Yontucu, Dilan Çiftçi, Umral Akpınar, Ali Baturay and Osman Kurt, which will be established by the decision of the KTGB Board of Directors and will evaluate this year’s applications, will accept the application for the works published between June 1, 2024 – 1 June 2025 (including both dates) in accordance with the Regulation.
