Appeal upheld the appeal of Asmir Sakhoski, accepted guarantee in money and property and certain precautions
The Skopje Court of Appeal upheld the appeal of Asmir Sakhoski, suspected of investigating the crude oil for TPP Negotino, and reversed the Criminal Court’s decision so that the « detention » measure was abolished by accepting a guarantee of 986,000 euros in property and EUR 1.17 million, appearing in court.
Following the appeal of Jahoski, the Skopje Court of Appeal, as he informed, acted at a vague session held on April 6 this year.
– The decision of the Basic Criminal Court Skopje has reversed in a manner that abolished the detention of the suspect A. J. by S. By accepting a guarantee of EUR 986,540.00, in denar counter -value of 60,672,235.00 denars, by putting a mortgage on real estate in favor of the Republic of Northern Macedonia and the amount of 72,000,000.00 denars of cash, in favor of the Republic of Northern Macedonia. At the same time against the suspect A. J. by S. Precautions are certain: the responsibility of the suspect to appear occasionally to a particular official in the Basic Criminal Court Skopje, and the temporary seizure of the existing travel document and ban on issuing a new travel document – the Appeal said in a statement.
They inform that in decision -making, the court had in mind the previously obtained positive proposal of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for the Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption Skopje and the opinion of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje to accept the appeal of the suspect, by accepting the offered guarantee.
« The part of the guarantee offered and accepted in cash from 72,000,000.00 denars is a monetary amount equal to the supposed damage to which the suspect is suspected of committing it in the specific criminal legal event, » the Appeal said in a statement.
The decision for reasoned reasons will be fully published on the Court’s website in accordance with the Law on Movement Management of the cases in the courts.
The Prosecutor’s Office on April 22 conditioned Jahoski’s proposal to replace the measure of detention for Jachian with a bank guarantee of 1.16m euros and precautionary measures, while the Criminal Chamber of the Department of Prosecutor for Organized Crime and Corruption at the Skopje Basic Criminal Court rejected it as unfounded.
