The US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of Salt Lake City announced the arrest of Cain Ransbottyn (47) last Thursday. Ransbottyn was arrested in Las Vegas. According to ICE, the man was sought by Belgium in an investigation into money laundering, although it is not yet clear which body the investigation of the man leads.
Years ago, Ransbottyn made a name for himself as the founder of the well -known blog ‘Zattenvrienden’ and was also one of the founding members of Clint. In the recent past he repeatedly made the media with different stunts. In 2019, for example, he was the first to demand the « Cruise ship of Balen », a huge frying snack. That same year he also became Belgian champion ‘Spicy Taco Eating’.
When he found during the Corona Pandemie that he had to wait too long for his vaccine, he flew to Las Vegas to be vaccinated there. Whether the money laundering investigation is linked to this is not yet clear.
