Antidrons and thorough controls, State Police measures for the Albania – Serbia match. Here’s the roads that are blocked

The State Police has drafted a special plan to guarantee the order and security before, during and after the end of the « Albania – Serbia » football match, which will take place tonight at 8:45 pm at the National Arena Stadium, Tirana.

In the plan of measures are foreseen:

-Cizing and securing the players of the Serbian team from the stadium to Rinas;

-Cizing and securing the footballers of the Albanian team in the stadium;

-Performing systematic controls in the premises indoors and outside the stadium, for unauthorized citizens, items and pyrotechnics, before fans are introduced;

-Organizing services to guarantee public order before, during and after the end of the football match, not only near the stadium, but also the control of the territory throughout the city of Tirana;

-Security of Emergency Services Crossings;

-Road traffic management in the city of Tirana, before, during and after the football match.

To guarantee security before, during and after the international match, it has cooperated with all institutions that have a role in the smooth running of this activity, namely the Albanian Football Federation, UEFA, the Republican Guard, the Municipal Police, the Fire Service, the Private Security Companies (Security Staff), the hospitals, the hospitals.

Contacts have also been set up and are cooperating with the security staff of the Serbian football team, in order to raise the security standards before and after this international match.

For the smooth running of this activity, on June 7, 2025, from 15:00 to the end of the match, the State Police, in cooperation with the Tirana Municipal Police, will apply restrictions on traffic on several road axes near the stadium, in particular:

Boulevard « Martyrs of the Nation », from the intersection near the Presidency to Mother Teresa Square, « Pope John Paul II » Street, « Dervish Hima » Street, near the US Embassy, ​​ »Asim Zeneli » Street, near the US Embassy, ​​ »Themistokli Germenji » street  » « Faik Konica » Street and « Skerdilajd Llagami » Street.

Bus parking with local fans coming from Korça and Elbasani will take place in the local parking lot « Calvin », while the Terminal car near the city « Student ».

Bus parking coming from the north and south will take place in the parking lot « Vehicle Processing Terminal » near Kamza overpass, while car parking near Asllan Rusi Sports Palace, underground parking at Skanderbeg Square, as well as in the underground parking lot.

Pursuant to the plan of measures, State Police employees will exercise thorough control over fans before entering the stadium, in order to prevent the stadium, racist -containing banners, flames, pyrotechnics, metal coins, umbrellas, tents, caps, other strong.

We also appeal to citizens not to raise drones on the perimeter of security (around the « National Arena » stadium), as they will collapse, as the State Police will use anti-droop equipment.

According to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania, violent actions in sports activities, such as the introduction to the field of play during the development of sports activity by unauthorized persons, constitutes criminal offenses and is punishable by a fine of 50,000 to 100,000 ALL.

When this offense has obstructed the normal development of sports activity, it is punishable by a fine or up to three months of imprisonment.

Throwing strong items on the playing field or on people, holding or using pyrotechnic materials, fireworks, flames, during the conduct of sports activity, are punishable by imprisonment of six months to three years.

Albanian criminal legislation considers a criminal offense, a crackdown on or any other offense of violence against the athlete, coach, arbitrator, sports mediator, because of sporting activity, and sentenced them to imprisonment from one to three years.

This offense, when committed in sports facilities, more than once, or by leaders or members of sports clubs, is punishable by imprisonment from one to five years.

Police seek the understanding of fans to appear at the stadium entrance at 6pm, as due to the flow of fans, shortly before the match, they may lose the opportunity to enter the stadium.

Also, it is appealed to fans and sports fans not to post tickets purchased on social media, as they may be duplicated in violation of the law.

Each ticket is equipped with barcode, is personal and must be kept only by the citizen who possesses it, which in order, will pass alone, to check the barcode from the device that automatically records any attempts to access with counterfeit or duplicated tickets.

The duplication/multiplication of the ticket is considered falsification and fraud, offenses which are punished by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Albania.

For the well -being of this sporting activity, the State Police has engaged hundreds of police officers who will guarantee public order and security, and provide them with assistance and information, if needed, so that this activity is completed without incidents.
