Ante arrives in ‘Love is in the Country’: lived in the US for almost 30 years, in search of the right one …
This weekend of the public will be present in more detail by 11 new farmers of the 18th season ‘Love is in the Country’, Saturday from 8.15 pm and Sunday from 7.45pm on RTL. Among them is Ante, a proud Dalmatian, whose life story is ideal for what a movie script!
Ante Sokosa arrives from Primosten, is 56 years old and is a retired seafarer and a returnee from America where he found himself quite by accident.
– I went through the whole world, I was not only in Australia! During one navigation, I quarreled with the captain. He threatened to disembark me when the ship returned to Europe. Well, then I disembarked myself and said – what, be it! It turned out it was in New York! Ante recalls.
In one of the biggest cities in the world he did not know anyone, so he managed he knew, slept on the train, lived with the people he befriended there, worked as a soboslicar, set up air conditioners …
But the resourceful Ante eventually got married in America and remained there for almost 30 years! He hung out to the Croats to the settlers, finding his team, but most, he says, became close to Irci. Even Croatian bands, who came to performances in the United States, among them, were among them, among them the coasts for help over the years.
« We are friends today, » Ante adds proudly, who helped them organize concerts in « his » New York.
Still, Ante always dragged his heart to his native Dalmatia, so five years ago he made a drastic decision.
– I never fully adapted myself, but I had to, because of my family and two children. Every summer I returned to Primosten. Five years ago, I collected suitcases, said – Enough, and returned to constantly.
Today he enjoys retirement, goes to sea, spends every free moment on his ship, festivities and tickets with friends.
« I live better than ever, I don’t have to do anything, I got married in three lives, » jokes.
He thought about ‘Love is in the Country’, he thinks for a long time, but in the end he weighed and decided to go in search of the rights in front of the cameras. He says to himself that he is honest, fun, he likes to joke, but he can also be stubborn, like a real bull in a horoscope, and attracts him with slender, beautiful and open women.
– I don’t like someone to sother me because I don’t scream the same. It is important to me that we are honest and open to each other – so what is it! I’m romantic, I’ll do my best. But I don’t like anyone to quot, I’m not that character – he says.
The ladies who want to write him a letter promises only good fun and enjoyment with the Dalmatian Spiz, which he will prepare for himself.
– I would say for myself to cook well, and for the gradele I am a doctor! I’ll try to win them with fish and homemade wine, it’s a winning combination – he concludes.
