Answer to submitter. Give part of the aid to Ukrainian refugees

Representatives of four organizations require in a submitter to make a political decision to give Ukrainian refugees the right to apply for a residence permit. Ukrainians managed to integrate well into Swedish society. Many have learned Swedish and got work. Ukrainian refugees strengthen the Swedish labor market. The majority of Ukrainian engineers, for example, have the professional experience as in demand in the Swedish labor market.

But at the same time, an ongoing research project shows that Ukrainian refugees in the Nordic countries have the worst in Sweden. Sweden’s actions force Ukrainians into undeclared work. Ukrainian refugees in Sweden respond to a greater extent than in the other Nordic countries that they live in poverty. Of course, it is unacceptable.

Sweden gave recently A record -breaking support package and has contributed a total of approximately SEK 61.9 billion in military support to Ukraine. The majority of the latest package consists of war materials to be produced by the defense industry and then be delivered to Ukraine. This means that part of the money stays in Sweden.

But why doesn’t it apply to people? Taking care of refugees here is also support for Ukraine. At the same time, it is good for Swedish society and the labor market. Give some of the assistance to refugees!
