ANRE’s decision on the Minia power station
The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) has issued the setting authorization for a combined cycle power plant with a total capacity of 1,677.12 MW, Authority announced on Wednesday.
« It is the largest authorization to set up for a single location approved by ANRE. The document has been handed, personally, by ANRE President George Niculescu, » ANRE says in a statement.
The project, developed by Mass Group Holding (MGH), involves the construction of a natural gas power station, equipped with two SGT5-9000HL gas turbines, a SGAN5-3000W SGAN5-3000-generators provided by Siemens Energy.
According to ANRE President, the 1,700 tape megawatts who will be produced in Mintia represent a proof that Romania is attractive to serious investors and has an energy regulatory that favors investments.
« At the question of what Romania needs, the answer is always: more energy produced in the band. Therefore, I want to see progress as possible in terms of construction of electricity capacities that can produce in the band. ANRE issued the setting authorization with the highest installed power for the Mintia. Energy regulatory framework that favors investments.
The new Minia power plant will contribute significantly to the energy security of Romania, ensuring a stable source of electricity and facilitating the transition to cleaner energy sources, ANRE’s statement.
