« Blik-a » fraud. It started with an online announcement
The 54-year-old daughter put a coffee maker for sale for PLN 150. After some time, a man contacted her, who claimed that by mistake he transferred a larger amount for the object and asked for a refund. After checking her account, the woman believed in his words and contacted him to return the overpayment. The fraudster instructed her how to perform BLIK operations, which led to the loss of money.
Warnings for sellers on the web
The police call for caution when selling on the Internet. It recommends avoiding clicking on unknown links, settling directly through the auction site and paying attention to the addresses of the page in the browser. It is important to carefully read messages with authorization codes and have limited confidence in contractors.
