Komet C/2025 F2 (SWAN) was first identified by the Ukrainian astronomy lover, Vladimir Uneragły, who analyzed photos from the Swan instrument on board the Soho probe. The amateur noticed an unusual object appearing on subsequent shots. He reported his discovery on March 29 to the Central Office of Astronomical Telegrams. After a few days, it was confirmed that he actually discovered a new comet, which was verified by other observatories.
