Kharkiv Literary Museum announced nominees of the first award « Nick’s generation« . The award is dedicated to the deceased from the Russian rocket attack by a young Kharkiv artist Veronica Kozhushko.
To a short list There were four finalists. In nomination from literature got Irina Martsyniuk and Lily of wormwood. From painting: Sofia Fadeeva and Daniela Palash. A total of 170 applications were received for the award.
The award will be held on May 19 at Nika Kozhushko’s birthday.
Veronica Kozhushko – artist and poet. She studied at Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics and was a volunteer at the Literary Museum, She took an active part in the creative life of Kharkiv.
The 18-year-old artist has popularized Ukrainian culture: she painted the pillars with portraits of Ukrainian writers, painted illustrations to lines from the poems of Sergei Zhadan and Mikhail Semenko.
In 2022 One of her drawings entered the collection of illustrations for the album Braian Mei, guitarist Queen.

On December 6, 2024, the Kharkiv Literary Museum, together with Nika Kozhushko’s parents and Sergei Zhadan Foundation, announced the creation of an annual prize in honor of the young artist « Generation Nick » for creators aged 16 to 21.
