Annexes are an integral part of the construction business

Slovenian companies know and do, they repeated several times Ozbej Marc from CPG collector and Boris Sampač from Pomgrad. Representatives of two leading construction companies in Slovenia discussed at a consultation on the challenges of the construction industry, which opened the Megro construction fair in Gornja Radgona.

The discussants were looking for answers to the questions of how to keep the industry at least in such condition as it is today that, despite the tight conditions on the market, the 2010 scenario is not repeated, when many construction companies were the largest due to the economic crisis. Namely, the State Statistical Office determines the ten percent decline in the sector transactions, which could be a signal for serious action, the participants agreed.

They highlighted at least three risks. Raising the necessary expenditures for defense could be a redistribution of certain European cohesion funds. It is with this money that is most built in Slovenia. The problem is the staff, the quite active in the construction industry, AV neighboring Austria and also in Germany. There is also a lack of construction engineers at home. In addition, long -term placement procedures in the space cause delays in the construction of construction work.

High prices captives and high costs

Marc noted that construction companies are currently captives in high prices of material and also high labor costs. “This makes the industry specific, so we always have many challenges. Therefore, we would also be pleased with the long -term state planning in the field of roads and rail. ”A representative of the CPG Collector also emphasized that the construction business in Slovenia is particularly inexorable. He affirmed his sap. He said they are involved in large state projects with Pomgrad, but he is disturbed by the fact that less attention is paid to the reconstruction of dilapidated local and regional roads in the country. “In our business, we face the so -called sawmill curve for orders. This curve is, for example, the Austrians are acting or rising year after year, « said Pomgrad’s spokesman. In addition to high prices and costs, their company is a captive – as Sapac – administrative brakes put it.

Discussions – the most designer Marjan Pipenbaher – they therefore provoked Mirana Gajškaright hand of the Minister of Natural Resources and Space Jože Novak. The obstacle to construction transactions are, according to them, long -lasting procedures for placing infrastructure in the space and the slow issuance of building permits. In January, administrative units (UE) issued 23 percent less than December last year. “This is a matter of all, that is, the state, the municipalities and the investor. I agree that things are not the clearest, we try to find solutions. This is our primary task. At the point, the question is how some municipalities can quickly adopt spatial plans and others not, « said Gajšek. He cited an example of the Slovenj Gradec UE, which recently issued a building permit for one of the facilities in just four days.

Not working in a pharmacy

They also talked about annexes to contracts for construction business. It is a misconception that they artificially irritate the projects, says Pipenbaher. “A construction business is not a job at a pharmacy where things are measured in grams. Let’s just look at the second track: did anyone expect so many geological complications? No one. If we are going to dig a tunnel, do we really know what can be waiting for us? No one therefore blackmailed with annexes. Usually, we only eliminate complications or edit new facts in projects. Annexes are something normal, they are part of the profession, « said a renowned designer, stating that only three percent of construction investments end within the agreed deadline and without annexes.

The discussants agreed that fairs like Megra contributes to better strategic planning in construction and construction of construction itself. The theme of this year’s fair in Gornja Radgona is We build in harmony with natureand is represented by 110 exhibitors from Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.
