The residential buildings in Capraška Street were built from the foundation on the neglected land within 14 months. Six buildings were built 114 apartments, and the total value of the project is 17.9 million euros. In addition to buildings and apartments, an environment and a square with a children’s playground were arranged.

« This project is of great importance for Sisak and the county. The new apartments that will be made by the end of 2025, a total of 380 more than before the earthquake, is a powerful foundation for the demographic empowerment of Sisak and the entire county, » emphasized Sisak-Moslavina Mayor Ivan Celjak.

Minister Branko Bacic expressed his satisfaction with the speed of construction of new buildings and reached dynamics.

« This new settlement is part of the Government project that goes to renovation and revitalization and demographic renovation of the county. We are prioritized to the renovation of municipal and traffic infrastructure and residential buildings. This new settlement is a step further in renovation and revitalization, realizing the construction of 59 multi -residential buildings with a total of 1024 apartments, » said Bacic. He added that new housing buildings in Sisak are an example of a affordable housing in Croatia. The apartments will temporarily use residents who are waiting for the renovation of their homes. When they return to their homes, these apartments will use citizens in need of affordable housing, he said.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic thanked everyone who participated in the realization of this project to build a new residential settlement in Sisak, and wished users a pleasant temporary stay in new apartments. « This is a big day for Sisak, there have been no new investment in all new buildings and apartments for decades. EUR 3.8 billion in the Zagreb and Petrinja earthquakes have been provided for the reconstruction. I believe that the apartments will be satisfied, and we will continue the renewal process until everything is renovated. We still have a lot of work, but our advantage to revitalize is very solid.

By the end of the year, 30 other new buildings, which were immigrated to Sisak today, will be completed in the area of ​​that county.
