Andonovski: By 2035 Macedonia fully digitized
We are moving to a digital society, but we must not be followers of trends, but we need to create them together with developed countries. This issue knows no boundaries, every country, even the smallest, if there is good IT potential in the staff and good habits among the citizens, and if it builds digital infrastructure, it can make quantum steps forward, Digital Transformation Minister Stefan Andonovski said today before the start of the conference organized by Bloomberg.
Andonovski sees Macedonia fully digitized in 2030-2035. That, noted, is the strategy of the government.
« Our strategy is all that is a process in the background in the public administration to be digitized to offer good conditions for doing business, for the growth of the economy and the well -being of the citizens, » Andonovski said.
According to him, the latest data show that the growth of the ICT industry by over 4.4 percent is one of the key in GDP increases.
-We need to think in that way. This is our potential, our comparative advantage over other countries. We do not have large minerals resources, we are not large territory, we do not have much population, but we are comparatively better in the IT industry and we need to make the most of it – the minister said.
The focus of the conference is the trend of consumers, with business representatives, chambers of commerce, public institutions, science and analysts.
