Ana Birchall reaches Cotroceni without applying
Interim president Ilie Bolojan signed the decree for the appointment of Ana Birchall on Wednesday as presidential counselor, starting with May 1, the Presidential Administration announced.
According to a press release, Ana Birchall will activate within the Foreign Political Department, strategic partnerships and Romanians from everywhere in the Presidential Administration and will have responsibilities and responsibilities for the implementation of Romania’s strategic partnerships.
Ana Birchall is a lawyer. He was head of legal office at Omniasig SA (1996 – 1998); Lawyer within the companies White & Case LLP New York (2002 – 2003) and the representation in Bucharest (2008 – 2010), Biriș Goran (2010 – 2012), Musat and Associations (2012); Advisor to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2003-2004), university lecturer at the University of ‘Dimitrie Cantemir’ Bucharest (since 2005), counselor of the Prime Minister (July-December 2012).
He was also a member of the Executive Committee of Yale Law School Association, Yale Law School. He was a member of the PSD (2005 – 2019), being chosen deputy in the constituency no. 39 Vaslui in the 2012 and 2016 elections. Held the position of special representative for strategic projects and international relations at Nuclearelectrica (2022 – 2024).
