The incident occurred on the provincial road 645 in the Zbójna commune. The duty officer of the Łomża police received a collision report. On the spot, the police suspected that the driver could be under the influence of alcohol. The study confirmed their assumptions – the man had over 2 per mille of alcohol in his body.
Dangerous maneuvers on the road
According to officers, a 60-year-old resident of the Zbójna commune did not adjust the speed to the conditions on the road. He lost control of the vehicle, which led to a ditch and suspending the car on the embankment. The man was not able to leave the vehicle himself.
Legal consequences
The driver confessed to driving in a state of intoxication and causing a collision. The car was towed to a guarded parking lot, and the man was handed over to the family. Now he will hear the charge of driving a car under the influence of alcohol, for which he is punishable by up to 3 years imprisonment.
