Rimavská Sobota. Every month it belongs to an interesting collection object in the Gemer-Malohont Museum in Rimavská Sobota. In May, when we commemorate the end of World War II, it is the accordion Royal Standart, originally belonging to an unknown soldier.
After a long journey, he decided to replace it with a bike. The remarkable musical instrument thus reached the Mlynár family living in Vrbovce in the district of Rimavská Sobota. Today it can be admired by visitors of the museum.

“As the front proceeded, the combat events were also transferred to the territory of Gemer – Malohont. The second Ukrainian front, its 40 Soviet and 4. The Romanian army penetrated this territory gradually from the southeast and south, through the Silický Plateau. On Gemer – Kečovo, Rimavská was liberated on December 21, 1944.
