An international science event took place in Klaipeda
Knowledge of science is more than formulas. It is logical thinking, the ability to solve problems, apply an algorithmic approach and structure solutions – this is especially true for modern engineers, programmers, construction, logistics and IT professionals. This event not only promotes academic progress, but also develops team skills, critical thinking and ability to respond quickly to challenges.
Student teams participated with great enthusiasm – there was no excitement, curiosity and laughter in the atmosphere. The participants were greeted by cultural manager and educator Inga Norkūnienė and the charming « mathematician » dog Kuršis, who became a true mascot of the event.
The team of the Faculty of Technology of KVK, led by lecturer Vilma Jakubauskienė, won the first place. Second place went to the team of Šiauliai State College (leader – lecturer Antanas Garbaliauskas), third – Lithuanian Maritime Academy team with lecturer Rasa Nutautienė.

During the event there was also a topical workshop for teachers on the topic « Reducing Stress in Modern Society: Advanced Methods and Practices » led by psychologist, cognitive behavioral therapy practitioner R. Gagienė.
« We are delighted to see the growing popularity of the event – a sign that students in mathematics and science are really interesting. Our goal is not only to develop knowledge, but also to motivate, inspire young professionals who will create the future, » said Raimonda Sūdžiuvienė, a longtime event organizer.
The organizers thank the sponsors of the event – Klaipėda State College, MB Georaida, Statūnas – for support, as well as head of the Department of Environment and Construction Dainora Jankauskienė for their support, communion and inspiration.
