The Split-Dalmatia Police Directorate appeared on its site with a big statement on the eve of a match that was named a high-risk match. We convey their statement in its entirety.

High risk match

– The said public gathering has been declared a high -risk match and the police – with the coordinate role of staff to insure high -risk games of police directors – will take measures and actions within their competence, in accordance with the Protocol on Security Safety and High Risk Matches and in accordance with the Law on Police Affairs and powers, the Law on Public Sports Competitions gathering – they write from the police.

Notice for Visiting Fans – Fans Acceptance in Dugopolje

Police officers of the Split -Dalmatia Police Directorate will accept organized and disorganized groups of fans at the exit of the A1 motorway – the toll station Dugopolje, and everyone, after the examination, will be remodeled directly to the Poljud Stadium. We recommend to all guest fans that they will come to the toll station at no later than 12.30 am, which is also the last time of the arrival in which visitors can be guaranteed timely entry to the stadium – they write from the police.

– Considering that we expect larger crowds and dares from 11am to 3pm in the Dugopolje and D1 road station, Klis – Solin’s fast road, and that a special traffic regulation will be established on D1 with the possible closure of the road, we send home fans who come to the match from other cities not to use the A1 on Dugopolje, but to use PRGOMETS. Note: Avoid D1 Road, Klis-Solin and toll station Dugopolje.

Entry into the stadium

– Especially once again we note to all visitors that they must have: a valid ticket and a public document with a photo. Considering the enhanced interest of visitors to this public gathering, we invite visitors to instructions to the stadium on the day of the match. The entrances to the stadium will be open from 1:30 pm, so we invite visitors to come earlier, so that after the examination of the persons and the ticket checks, they could enter the stadium before the public gathering began. We inform citizens that on the day of the match the organizer and police will limit the movement of the vehicle: from 10am until the end of the insurance will establish a traffic blockade in VIII Street. Mediterranean games – at the entrance to the Poljud pool parking lot, at the Mandrach catering facility and at the intersection of VIII Street. Mediterranean games and seven Kastela streets (except for police vehicles, ie vehicles with pass). From 12 o’clock, a traffic blockade will be established on Zrinsko -Frankopanska Street – from the intersection with the Croatian Navy Street to the entrance to Lora and on Put Supavlo Street – from the intersection with Put Brodarica Street (except for HV, tenants and public transport and a vehicle with a pass). – They write from the police and add:

– Also, if necessary, it will be limited and redirected traffic on Herzegovina Street in Split, from the intersection with Solin Street to Supavlo Street, which is why we are referring to traffic participants to respect the instructions and orders of police officers in the field regarding the direction of movement. It is recommended that on the day of the public gathering, if possible, alternative directions and avoid traffic on Herzegovina Street.

Vehicle parking

Visitors will not be able to park their vehicles around the stadium and in the wider zone around the stadium, so we advise that if they come to a passenger car for a public gathering, they park in parking lots in other parts of the city and on foot or by public transport to the stadium. Traffic officers, together with police officers, will sanction drivers of improperly parked vehicles on the streets of Zrinsko-Frankopanska, the Croatian Navy, the seven Kastela and the road of Supavla on the day of the public gathering, and the roads for which there will be conditions for the transfer. This also applies to improperly parked vehicles in the middle of the roadway on the roads above. We advise all citizens planning to come to the match, to head to the stadium on time and that if they are able, they use public transportation to avoid crowds. We ask all road users for additional patience and caution if there is a greater crowd and downtime, especially if there is a need to close certain parts of roads in the city of Split – they write from the police

Law on the Prevention of Clutter in Sports Competitions

We inform citizens that in accordance with the Law on Prevention of Clutter at Sports Competitions, it is prohibited:

  • Introding or attempting to introduce alcoholic beverages and drugs and entry and stay into the space of a sports facility in an intoxicated state,
  • Entry of pyrotechnics, weapons and other items that are suitable for inflicting injuries or for creating clutter and violence and burning and throwing pyrotechnic agents, as well as burning other fan props,
  • face masking with a cap, headscarf or otherwise to conceal identity,
  • Entry and highlighting banners, flags or other things with text or image, sign or other characteristic that shows or stimulate hatred or violence based on racial, national, regional or religious affiliation,
  • song singing or rejecting messages whose content shows or stimulates hatred or violence based on racial, national, regional or religious affiliation,
  • An attempt to inconsistent entry, that is, the inadmissible entry into the competitive space or into the viewing area, the space intended for judges or other persons participating in the sports competition,
  • throwing objects into the competitive space,
  • stay and retention at a point in the viewing area for which the ticket or the appropriate document issued by the organizer is not possessed.

– All observed unlawful behaviors will be sanctioned in accordance with the Law on Preventing Clutter in Sports Competitions. On the day of the game, the police will, in accordance with Article 79 of the Law on Police Affairs and Authority, before, during the game and after the end of the Audio and video of the stadium and the access directions. In accordance with Article 51 and 52 of the Law on Police Affairs and powers, the police will temporarily limit the movement and retention of the Supavlo on the streets four hours before the game and two hours after the match.
