An accident of prof. Jerzy Bralczyk. « I’m still alive, » he says to Fakt
It was supposed to be an ordinary evening with a language. On Wednesday, April 9, prof. Jerzy Bralczyk He was heading for his author’s meeting to the Municipal Cultural Center in Nowiny near Kielce. He did not arrive. On the provincial road No. 728, in the town of Kotfin (Masovian Voivodeship), there was a serious accident. BMW, in which the professor rode as a passenger, collided with Opel.
In addition to the professor, the car was his driver, Leszek Bonar. They both went to the hospital. And although the force of the impact was great – as the professor says – « a car rather to delete », then Fortunately, the injuries turned out to be harmless.
« We were arranged. » What happened?
In an interview with « Fakt », from a hospital bed in Końskie, The professor talks about dramatic moments.
« We were arranged, » he says briefly. – It was a strong blow. The car I was driving is rather suitable for cassation – he adds with characteristic calmness.
When asked about health, he answers without unnecessary drama:
– I strained the bridge a bit, but there is no crack, there is no fracture or internal injuries. A bit broken, but nothing dangerous.
On Thursday (April 10) the professor is to be discharged. – If not today, then tomorrow. But rather today. I’m still alive – he summed up with a smile.
A driver with noise in his head
The driver, the host of BMW, also suffered a slight injury. « He has some tinnitus and his ears, but it’s probably nothing dangerous, » says the professor.
Both men were taken to the hospital for observation. The author’s meeting in Nowiny was canceled. The Municipal Cultural Center reported that the organizers wish the professor and his driver a quick recovery and hope for a new meeting – in a later, safer time.
Police about an accident
The case of the accident is examined by the police. As reported on April 10, sergeant Aleksandra Bałtowska from the Przysuska headquarters, a 66-year-old Opel driver, most likely during the turning maneuver, he arrived in the road to the riding BMW. There was a collision.
– Studies have shown that drivers were sober. Now the Przedsusce investigators are determining the exact course of the accident – says the policewoman.
