Among the unemployed are most over 55
We come across a lot of stereotypes and arguments every day, which makes older workers often considered less desirable candidates for employment, the Employment Service said. « It is important to talk about this openly and raise awareness of the general public about the importance of the potential and benefits of the elderly, which can contribute greatly to the progress of each company, and eliminate negative stereotypes about older employees. »
Thus, it happens that in practice, employers emphasize the estimated higher costs of employment of an older worker and fear of difficulty forgiveness if necessary. It is also common that these workers have more health problems, physical restrictions, to make it harder to adapt to novelties, are less learning, etc.
