Americans are waiting for such a great feat since 1933
US and Switzer Hockey Team will fight for the title World Champion in Sweden. The US national team will be chasing a gold medal on Sunday in the finals, which would be the first after the far away 1960, when they celebrated at the Squaw Valley Olympics, and the competition was then counted as SP. The first and only gold medal to win at the World Cup is the Americans from 1933. So far, the last medal at the World Cup has 2021 Americans when they were third. Switzerland will chase the first gold medal, it already has four silver in the collection, three in the last decade and a half (2013, 2018 and last year in Prague). He also has seven bronze medals.
