Amendment of the Law on the Road: TRNC citizens can request the deletion of criminal records – Cyprus Newspaper

'Deletion of the criminal record (amendment) law proposal' was published in the Official Gazette and presented to the information of the people. Within the scope of the law proposal, the TRNC citizens who meet certain conditions will be able to request the deletion of criminal records.

The National Unity Party (UBP) deputies Hasan Küçük and Yasemi Öztürk by the Law on the Parliament with the proposal of the law with the proposal to delete the criminal record is planned to be added to the temporary first article.

In this context, the rules in the other articles of the law should be considered, before the entry into force of the law on the throne of the penalty law or a maximum of 1 year imprisonment of the Turkish citizen of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, who has been sentenced to a maximum of 1 year imprisonment, the prisoners of the same crime has been imposed on the date of the same crime.

The criminal record will be deleted by the person who demands the residence of the accident court, will apply through the request. If the court decided to delete the criminal record, the criminal record will not be shown in the criminal record given to the person concerned.

However, the deleted criminal record will continue to take place in the record held by the Performing Performing Department of the Forensic Police Department in accordance with the Police Organization Internal Organization Regulation.

The right to apply can be used within one year and only once after the entry into force of this law.
