Ambulancer and figure of rescuers in Gaza, Hussein Mohsen killed in an Israeli strike – Liberation
We used to see him get out of the rubble, children in our arms, and walk from ruins to his ambulances, before taking the wounded to the nearest hospitals. Hussein Mohsen, director of one of the rescue services in Gaza, was the victim of an Israeli strike on the evening of Monday, June 9, with two of his ambulance colleagues, as well as the young journalist Moamen Abu Alouf.
According to the civil defense of Gaza, Hussein Mohsen was killed when he came to the aid of the victims of a first strike, in a house in the Al-Tuffah district, in the northeast of the city of Gaza. Mohsen was then accompanied by Wael al-Attar and Bara Gares Afana, also members of his medical team, as well as journalist Moamen Abu Alouf. A member of the latter’s family tells Check that “Moamen and the rescuers went to evacuate the martyrs and the wounded. As soon as they entered the house, the occupation army bombed it a second time ”.
