Alta municipality and the party fee – altaposten.no

In December 2024, the municipal council in Alta received a case with a good investigation related to the party fee that the inhabitants of the municipality are charged with.

The basis that was presented to the municipal council was well -worked by administration. Unfortunately, main committee leader Hæggernæs from the left used completely incorrect numbers when he oriented in the case from the pulpit.

Thus, many representatives on the municipal council were led by this misinformation. Nor did the administration be corrected in this misinformation provided by political leadership. At the beginning of 2025, through the media, Hæggernæs complained that the municipal council had been misinformed by the position parties.

The Right again promotes that case through an interpellation in the municipal council on March 25, 2025. Here Alta Frp argued for Høyre’s proposal that this had to be resolved as soon as the parties.

The parties should have the opportunity to redeem the plots at an advantageous price, and the municipality of Alta should consider selling all the attachment plots to the parties, so that the municipality can avoid managing this and instead use the resources in a better and more useful way.

During the case, the mayor claimed that no incorrect information had been provided to the municipal council in December 2024.

This was met with great amazement, especially from Alta Frp. Why was Hæggernæs public out there and regretted that the municipal council had been given incorrect figures for redemption of attachment plots during treatment?

We believe that the position in Alta municipality should have agreed internally in this embarrassing case, so that the parties had a quick and worthy ending to what has become a very unfortunate matter.

Unfortunately, position used its majority to maintain its decision from 2024. Unfortunately, this case has cost Alta municipality about NOK 15 million.
