In the investigation into the unknown perpetrator who, in a Brussels Lidl Gilbert Heledt (85), fatally knocked down, the police have already received thirteen tips. Because those tips still did not cause a breakthrough, the investigators again call for additional information.
The police services are currently biting teeth for almost two months on a fatal argument in a Lidl branch on the Gentsesteenweg in Molenbeek. Victim Gilbert HELEDT (85)-From East Flanders, but living in Sint-Agatha-Berchem-went shopping there on March 8. When he finished his groceries, he went to the cash register to stand in line. At that moment he realized that he had forgotten something from the store shelves. He left his cart in line and went back to the racks to get the forgotten product quickly.

But when he returned, someone else took his place. It was a slender young man between 25 and 30 years old, dressed in a light -colored training, black sneakers and beige cap. The man in question pushed the shopping cart of the much older Gilbert aside. But just at that moment Gilbert came back and he went to get a story, after which an argument arose.
That fight degenerated into violence. The young man pushed the eightyer, who therefore fell unhappy. Gilbert Heledt suffered a skull trauma. He was taken to the hospital, but died there a few days later from his injuries.

However, the perpetrator has since been without a trace. After the push, he left his cart and fled. Surveillance cameras of the supermarket could nevertheless give a clear picture of the young man, but after almost two months of research he was still not identified. The federal police distributed an investigation message to the man last weekend, hoping for more information. That already yielded seven tips within 24 hours. But in the meantime, according to An Berger, spokeswoman for the federal police, thirteen tips have already entered. « But there is no breakthrough, » she says. « If there are people who have information about the suspect, they can certainly report that. »
