Already sentenced for the death of 48 people, the Russian serial-Killer Alexandre Pitchchkin wants to admit a dozen other murders-Liberation
His horrors know no limits. Alexandre Pitchchkin, a Russian serial killer imprisoned for life in 2007 for having killed 48 people, said he was ready to admit a dozen other murders, the Russian prison administration announced this Saturday, April 5.
The country’s media nicknamed him « the killer at the chessboard » because he had declared to the inspectors, in his confessions, that he hoped to check the 64 boxes of a chessboard for each of his victims. His murders lasted from 1992 to 2006.

Pitchchkin, now 50, has first targeted vulnerable people, often homeless, alcoholics or the elderly. He attracted them by offering them to have a drink in the Bitsevsky park, a beautiful forest southwest of Moscow which adjoins the concrete bars where he lived. Once his prey was weakened by vodka, he smashed her skull with hammer.
Then he would have started to attack women, young people or knowledge, reported THE World in 2007. « He killed those with whom he worked, next to whom he lived, those he met on the paths of the park »summarizes the Moscow prosecution. The first time he killed, in 1992 was a classmate, he explained during a hearing. The two men would have argued about a girl. He did not repeat for nine years, frightened by a first police investigation.
Since his conviction, Pitchchkin has been detained in the polar owl prison in the north of the Russian Arctic. In a statement published on Saturday on the Telegram messaging application, the Russian criminal service explained that Pitchchkin had told investigators that he was ready to admit 11 other murders of men and women. Pitchchkin has long been suspected of other misdeeds than those for which he was sentenced.
During his trial in 2007, he said he killed 63 people, one per month on average for five years, but prosecutors only charged him with 48 murders and three attempts at murder. If he is found guilty of these new murders, Pitchchkin would become the second most prolific serial killer in Russia, behind Mikhail Popkov, a former police officer sentenced to the death of 78 people.
