The airport also notes that airlines will significantly increase the number of flights this summer on several important routes.

This summer, more flights and 50% more seats on the Riga -Varshava will offer Lot Polish Airlines, and in flights between Riga and Heathrov, British Airways.

Latvian national airline airBaltic will increase the frequency of flights to Amsterdam to three times a day. From the current seven flights a week to 13 flights a week, flight frequency between Riga and Tampers will increase. AirBaltic will also increase the frequency of flights to Tallinn, Port, Alicanians, Stockholm, Istanbul and other destinations, as well as start charter flights to a new destination – Lamemia Terma in Italy.

The increase in the frequency of flights and the number of seats available will offer « Finnair » in Helsinki, compared to last summer – the number of flights a week will increase by the fifth and the number of seats by almost two fifths.

Norwegian will expand their destinations from Riga during the summer season, offering flights to Burgas, Split and London, as well as continuing the flights to Alicanti started in the winter season.

More flights are also planned by Turkish Airlines on a regular route to Istanbul and Lufthansa to Frankfurt. Similarly, the frequency of flights to Prague, Cologne, Dublin, Leeds, London and Manchester will be increased by the Irish low -cost carrier « Ryanair ».

In total, 11 airlines will be provided by regular passenger flights at Riga Airport this summer, while charter transport programs – six carriers. Although charter flights to Antalya from Riga Airport are regularly held at Riga Airport that Turkish tour operator « Mavi Gok » has planned this summer on the Riga-Antalja-Riga fly with an increased capacity aircraft « Boeing 777 ».

Last summer, Helsinki, London, Stockholm, Oslo and Tallinn were the most popular destinations from Riga Airport.
