Alleged assassin of Hamburg is said to be in psychiatric clinic

After the knife attack at Hamburg Central Station with 18 injuries, a judge ordered the suspect’s accommodation in a psychiatric clinic. The 39-year-old was arrested on Friday evening after she was said to have stabbed her on the platform. The accommodation command was on attempted manslaughter in action with dangerous bodily harm in 15 cases, the police said.

« The accommodation command refers to the people who were immediately injured with the knife and have thus suffered cuts or stab injuries of different severity, » the police said in their message. A total of 18 people were brought to hospitals – but the rest suffered other injuries, « for example through a fall or shock ».

Three women between the ages of 24, 52 and 85 and a 24 -year -old man were seriously injured. They are now all in a stabilized state, as the police announced at noon. In addition, seven people were seriously injured and slightly injured. Hamburg Mayor Peter Tschentscher said that some of the injured could leave the hospitals again.

Woman probably has no permanent residence

According to the police, the suspect is said not to have been politically motivated. « Rather, there are now very concrete references to a mental illness of the suspects, » the police said. The public prosecutor had applied for its accommodation.
