Tomasz’s wife heard as many as 12 allegations related to the activities of the Helper association, which was led by self -help houses in Warmia and Mazury. According to the prosecutor’s office, the association was financed from state subsidies transferred through the voivode and municipalities. She is accused of for managing an organized criminal group and an appropriation of nearly PLN 33 million.
During the hearing, Tomasz K. strongly denied the accusations against him, which concern, among others money laundering and participation in an organized criminal group. – I don’t confess. The allegations presented to me are the political revenge of the environment related to Law and Justice – said former CBA agent.
42 people sat on the bench in the case of irregularities in the Helper Association
According to the prosecutor’s office, public funds, which were intended for the support of the elderly and sick people, were to be used in an improper manner. The money was to be spent, among others for expensive cosmetics, ski equipment, skateboard or iPhone phones.
The case of the Helper association is one of the largest of its kind in Poland. As many as 42 people sat on the bench, and 30 hearings have already been held as part of the trial, during which over 20 accused have made their explanations.
The process will continue in the coming days. Will Tomasz K. and his wife be responsible for the alleged acts? We will inform about the fate of the case on a regular basis.
