The deputy deputy of Ramutis Gymnasium does not hide that the students are smoking outside the school. Unfortunately, it is difficult to deal with harmful habits, especially if students are caught outside the school.
« There is a problem with which we are fighting with various tools. At very intense, municipal level, safety, and of course, harmful habits enter the same context. Expanding the camera network, we have made the effort to have more places we can watch, » said Vita Blue.

« The structure is like this: we invite parents because we cannot interrogate the child ourselves, we invite doctors if there is some suspicion. There is a 2-3 hour educational process, » explained the deputy director of the Ramutis Gymnasium.
The mayor of Akmenė believes that problems would be reduced if the whole area was converted to a non -smoking area.
« It is the smoking sites be marked in which places can be smoked. Because now some legislation is obliging, as well as the Labor Code, the public hygiene procedure, for example, the employer must set up smoking sites at work, » said Vitaly Mitrofanov, Mayor of Akmenė district.
Thus, smoking could only be in specially labeled areas. For example, on the other side of the bus stop, there would be roofs for smokers.
« Smoking zones should be installed, civilized – as I said, gazebos. There could also be social advertising about smoking damage in those areas, » Mitrofanov said.
According to the locals, the homogeneous non -smoking area will not change youth habits, as they smoke mysteriously, but the smoke that has not been lost in the smoke sounds cool.

« Let’s remember when we forbade smoking in cafes – what a dissatisfaction was. Then it divided the cafes into two zones: smoking and non -smoking. Then the decision came that it was forbidden in the cafes and everyone reconciled, » the mayor of Akmenė district said.
Forbidden smoking throughout the area, the region of Akmenė would not be distinguished. Europe already has cities that smoke only in specially labeled areas. In Akmenė itself, smoking is now banned around educational and cultural institutions, parks, central squares and children’s playgrounds.
