Now the Indian Space Agency (ISRO) has announced during a meeting with Axiom Spacex that the start of the Axiom -4 (AX -4) mission is scheduled for June 19, 2025 All previous technical problems (including liquid oxygen leakage in the Falcon 9 rocket and pressure inconsistency in the Zvezda module on ISS) were solved.
The AX-4 mission crew includes:
- commandant Peggy Whitson from the United States,
- Mission Specialist Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski from Poland (representing the European Space Agency),
- Pilot Shubhanshu Shukla from India,
- Capu tibor from Hungary, also acting as a specialist.
AX-4 is the fourth manned commercial flight organized by the American company Axiom Space. The presence of a Pole on board is the result of cooperation between the Ministry of Development and Technology and the European Space Agency. The agreement concerned the preparation and implementation of the Polish Scientific and Technology Mission Ignis aboard an international space station. The Polish Space Agency (Polsa) is also involved in activities. 13 experiments and technologies developed by Polish scientists and companies will be delivered to the ISS. Dr. Sławosz Uznański-Wiśniewski will be the second Pole in history to fly into space-after Mirosław Hermaszewski.
The Falcon 9 Rocket from SpaceX is to be taken by the Dragon capsule with the entire crew from the 39A start platform in the Space Center. Kennedy, located on Cape Canaveral in Florida.
