All children in beige albach on communion. « There is no fashion revue »
In Germany, the approach to communion clothing can be more diverse. There is no uniform outfit in many parishes – children come in elegant clothes, often in line with family tradition or personal choice. They apply a special alb.
In the parish in German Hamm (Sieg), children before the start of the mass in a special chapel applied beige Alby on their outfits. They were all the same.
However, there were also communion accents. Some girls put on wreaths on their heads. These were chosen individually. The costs were borne by the guardians.
German communions. Children apply the same albs
Parents of « communion children » did not pay anything for renting and properly preparing the outfit. Lack of fee is related to taxes for the Church, which are mandatory in Germany and constitute part of the tax system. Everyone who formally belongs to the Catholic or Evangelical Church pays the so -called church tax (Kirchensteuer), which is about 8 – 9 percent. income tax. Funds from this tax go directly to a given religious community and are allocated, among others for the maintenance of the parish, clergy salaries, charity activities or the organization of religious events such as Holy Communion.
Thanks to this, the preparation of children for the sacrament, the organization of the ceremony and logistics issues do not constitute an additional financial burden on their parents.
« There is no fashion revue »
About how the uniform costumes of children at the First Holy Communion assessed the editors of « Fakt » asked guests from Poland who have a comparison to what it looks like in their country.
All children are dressed the same. There is no fashion revue. I like it very much because it shows that all children are equal to God.
A similar opinion is Mrs. Jolanta, who also draws attention to the fact that parents are left by this one obligation related to the alb, which needs to be chosen, bought, ironed, etc.
