Aliyev said that they will be with the TRNC for the recognition of his independence – Cyprus Newspaper

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) will always be with the TRNC brothers to recognize it as an independent state by the international community.

Aliyev made a speech by participating in the international forum titled “Towards the New World Order”, which was held in Baku, Ada University, with more than 80 experts from 44 countries.

Aliev, who also evaluated relations with the TRNC, said that he was in contact with the TRNC President Ersin Tatar.

As Azerbaijan, Aliyev recalled that the TRNC played an active role in becoming an observer member of the Turkish States Organization (TDT), and that President Ersin Tatar invited TDT to the Gayriresmi Summit in Şuşa.

Reminding that the TRNC flag fluctuated in Shusha at the TDT Summit, Aliyev said:

“We are always with our brothers. Our policy has always been clear. We have no other agenda in this regard. We only think how we can help them to protect our brothers’ states. They deserve it historically and because of what they do.”
