Alimos: Two men arrested for antiquity
Two people in Alimos, who are involved in illegal buying and selling antiquities, were arrested by the Greek FBI. Officers are still looking for a man who was allegedly the « connecting link ».
As ERT reports, the police initially had information that a 58 -year -old man is going to carry out an ancient purchase of ancient objects and was under surveillance.
The ancient artifacts seized by the police
He was finally arrested for a 51 -year -old man in a municipal parking lot in the Alimos area. The 58 -year -old had an ancient coin with him and two ancient bronze statues, while the 51 -year -old had an ancient gold diadem, a kind of crown with great value.
Police are also looking for another person who allegedly contacted them. The 58 -year -old has reportedly been arrested in the past for antiquity.
Antiquity: And another case to Alimos
It is recalled that in the same area last November, ELAS police officers. they had identified 172 ancient objects in three apartments in the same apartment building.
Indicatively, they had confiscated cyclists, vials, lyctes, clay figurines and dummies, precepts, miniature skyscrapers of archaic and classical/Hellenistic period, Roman -Byzantine -Byzantine clay lamps, bronze and silver coins, as well as silver coins.
