Alexis Kougias: His life in his own words

One of the most famous names of the fighting law for about five decades. At the same time one of the most recognizable figures of the football stadiums, but also by the people who left their mark, with their cakes and explosive character, Alexis Kougias, « He passed away today at the age of 74.

Well -known criminologist Alexis Kougias starred in the biggest trials that have been employed in Greece for the last 50 years, has been criticized by many aspects, responding to all in his own way, which was very provocative. At the same time, however, he found himself a few times in front of the spotlight and his personal life.

This is his life, as he has described it through the hundreds of interviews he has given.

“I was born in Petersburg and by the age of 14 I was identified with the area. My father was a disabled police officer and we were staying in an area where most were left. « 

« Love for football was a one -way street, after all you could do nothing else. Petersburg then had a central dirt road and houses, built on one night. He had no school, bank, water and had too many plots. All that was enough was to put two stones for beams, a stone ball and the wedding was done by Koutroulis. « 

« When my father saw my passion for football, he decided to give me motivation. This is how he took control, he was telling me that he didn't see 20s and I was trying harder. My father was very strict with me and with my brother. If my brother did not go well to school, he had no vacation in the summer but he worked in a blacksmith. «

My origins, from the neighborhood I was born in Petersburg, were popular and football identified with these popular neighborhoods of the West Bank of Athens, my image is often characterized by football -related behaviors. « My health problem arose unexpectedly after the accident I had on the Highway of Agios Nektarios in 2021. I ran out for the first time in many years and after the fasting I said to do general exams. As I did. There it was revealed that I had cancer, but I didn't have any serious cancer. I had prostate cancer. I was operated after six months, I am still watching. «
