Spanish star Carlos Alcaraz He is the first finalist of the France Tennis Championship in Paris. This, however, was decisive about the duel. The Spaniard was sovereign, got it with 7: 3, and then the resistance of the Italian, who also had problems with the left thigh muscle, also faded. Alcaraz won the third set with 6-0 in a good 20 minutes, similarly convincingly started fourth, but the Italian could no longer continue the duel due to pain after two games.

In their matches, Alcaraz won the sixth of seven highest -level showdowns. “It’s never nice to progress after handing over a rival. Lorenzo is an exceptional player, this year has a really amazing season on a sandy ground. I wish him all a good and speedy recovery. I know that we will soon enjoy his tennis again, « Alcaz paid tribute to the Italian in a statement after the duel.

He took a breather after the second set

“The first two sets were really challenging. I had my opportunities, but I did not use them, but at the same time he played great tennis in those moments. I took a little breath when I got the second set. In the third, I knew I had to push him to the border, that I had to play aggressively and not let him dominate, « the 22-year-old Spaniard added.

Alcaraza is now awaiting the study of the final rival: “I will definitely see the duel. As a big fan of tennis, I will not miss him. It is one of the biggest duels we currently have in tennis. Musetti in solace remains an exceptional sandy season, in which he played at least in the semifinals on all three Masters and ranked among the top four on Roland Garros. At the same time, on Monday, he will be the highest in his career in the ATP rankings as he advances to sixth place.

In the finals, Alcaraz will compete with either the first player of the Sinner world or with the 24-fold winner of the Grand Slam Tournament tournaments.

The Italian, who has won the last two grand slams at the US and Australia and is in a series of 19 consecutive individual victories, has not yet gained a set in Paris. In the evening showdown, which will start at 7pm, there is now a big challenge against Djokovic.

The eight -year -old, the three -time winner of Roland Garros (2016, 2021, 2023) showed the best game in this year’s red sand right in the quarterfinals against Zverev, when he chased away the German 3-1 in sets. This is also the only lost series of Belgrade in Paris.
