Albania Elections: Rama Triumph with 51.8% give the first exit poll


Edi Rama’s lead was shown by the exit polls of the parliamentary elections in Albania.

Edi Rama and the EXIT Polls -based SP receive the popular mandate with 51.8% of the votes corresponding to 79 seats. Second with 38% and 54 seats comes Sali Berisha.

Specifically, the Albania Post published, a few minutes after the closure of the polls, the first exit polls, according to which the Socialist Party (PS) wins 79 seats – five more compared to previous elections four years ago.

Sali Berisha’s Democratic Party (PD) secures 54 seats, with 38% of the nationally votes.

On the other hand, Tom Dossi’s Social Democratic Party (PSD) is expected to take three seats – two in Skodra and one in Tirana – with 2.2%.

Agron Sechai’s « Mundësia » party receives 3.6% of the vote nationwide, but is limited to just two seats, due to the widespread dispersion of votes and their concentration only in the Tirana region.

Arlid Corey’s « Lëvizja Bashkë » conquers a headquarters in Tirana, though Corey himself is out of the House.

One seat seems to be secured by Lulzim Basha in the Tirana Region, while Adriatic Lapai and his coalition are left without any seat.

Results of Exit Poll:

Socialist Party (PS): 79 seats

Democratic Party (PD): 54 seats

Social Democratic Party (PSD): 3 seats

Opportunity (Mundësia): 2 seats

Movement together (Lëvizja Bashkë): 1 seat

KEA – Bass Party (Kea): 1 seat

Nisma Shqipëria Bëhet: 0 seats
