AK Party Spokesman Steel: Nobody question the Cyprus sensitivity of our President – Cyprus Newspaper

AK Party spokesman Omer Celik, said in a statement after earthquakes in Istanbul, CHP leader Ozgur Ozel responded harshly. Çelik drew attention to the criticism of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan especially on the Turkish Cypriot Case and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Çelik, « Ozgur Ozel’s President’s sensitivity to the Turkish Cypriot case and the TRNC questioning, is clearly indicative of political ignorance, » he said. Stressing that President Erdoğan always protected the Cyprus issue with great determination, Çelik said, “Our nation and the international community know the support of the President of the Turkish Cypriot people and the sovereignty of the Turkish Cypriot people very well”.

Steel also stated that the priority agendas due to the earthquakes in Istanbul are to be with the citizens and added that they do not want to enter political controversy, but it necessitates the response of Özel’s statements.
