Ajdukovic dropped the impossible and lost the sixth match in a row …

Croatian tennis player Duje Ajduković (ATP-175) failed to qualify for the eighth finals of the ATP Challenger in the Italian town of Francavilla Al Mare, and in the first round he was defeated by Frenchman Mathys Erhard (ATP-268) with 6-7 (6), 6-4, 6-3.

Ajdukovic is already a sixth consecutive defeat, but this one is certainly one of the more painful ones, because the 24-year-old Croatian national team had an almost resulting match. After being able to win the first set in ‘Tie-break’, in which he saved one set-ball, Duje led with 4-1 in the second section of the match.

However, the 23-year-old Frenchman won the second set with five games in a row, and then in the third than 1-2 he ordered four games for 5-2 lead. Ajdukovic returned one ‘break’, but then lost his service again, and thus the match.

Duje will have a new opportunity to break the black series at the Zagreb Open, a challenger who will be played at Zagreb’s Salata from 11 to 17 May.
