Airport Festival Nuremberg 2025: All information
The Nuremberg Airport celebrates its 70th anniversary this year. On Sunday, May 25th, a big festival will take place on the airport site from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. According to the message, a full program is offered: visitors can admire an exhibition with aircraft or watch the fire brigade, police or customs ideas. There is also a children’s program and food trucks ensure meals.

- Airplanes up close: Visitors can explore an extensive exhibition of aircraft, helicopters and apron vehicles.
- Military aircraft: Bundeswehr and US Army are on site with Eurofighers and Apache helicopters.
- Electoral tours: Online bus tours can be booked in advance during ongoing operation.
- Airport’s environmental village: The environmental department at the airport presents its work.
- Presentation of the rescue workers: The airport fire brigade, the police, the THW and the Red Cross show their vehicles and equipment.
- Customs detection dogs: The specially trained dogs of customs provide demonstrations of their skills as a sense and search dogs.
- ADAC rollover simulator: A vehicle is turned 180 degrees on a device so that visitors can experience how a rollover feels.
- Flight flights with the Aero Club: If you want to see the airport from above, you can book flight flights in small aircraft.
- Ivao flight simulator: In the flight simulator, a virtual aircraft can be controlled under realistic flight conditions.
- Sports partner: SpVgg Greuther Fürth, the 1. FCN, the HC Erlangen and the Nuremberg Rams are represented with stands at the airport festival.
- Children’s program: There are face painting for the little visitors, a bouncy castle and bicycle course.
- Airport Terrassen Open Air: From 2 p.m., the gate on the visitor terrace offers an after-lounge with beats and burgers.
Directions and parking at the Nuremberg Airport Festival 2025
The organizer recommends traveling by public transport via the subway or the classic car shuttle from the “Am Wegfeld” stop directly to the airport. If you are arriving by car, you should park P2 of the airport in the parking garage. There is a reduced special tariff of five euros for the airport festival. Eating and drinking at the Nuremberg Airport Festival
At the airport festival there are food trucks and beverage stands on several areas. In the terminal there are bistros, bakers and a McDonald’s. The alpine huts also offer a beer garden with seating. From 2 p.m. there will be an open air smash burger from Nuremberg in the gate on the visitor terrace at the Terrassen Airport Terrassen Open Air Smash Burger.
