airBaltic has signed a cooperation agreement with Air India / Day
The contract will provide opportunities for both airlines to sell tickets on their flights.
Pauls Calītis, Acting Director of airBaltic, says Pauls Cālītis, the act of operational management, points out that the contract with Air India is the first step in strengthening cooperation in air transport with India.
According to Cheetle, this agreement will bring mutual benefits to both airlines and passengers.
It has already been reported that airBaltic carried a total of 5.2 million passengers in 2024, which is 13% more than a year ago, with 47,000 flights, which is 7% more than a year ago.
In 2024, the airBaltic Group worked with audited losses of EUR 118,159 million, as opposed to profit a year earlier, while the Turnover of the Group increased by 11.9%compared to 2023, reaching EUR 747,572 million.
Currently, the Latvian state owns 97.97% of airBaltic shares, while financial investor, Danish businessman Lars Nuten, owned by Aircraft Leasing 1 – 2.03%. On August 30, 2024, the Latvian government agreed that the country should maintain at least 25% plus one share, according to the original public offer of airBaltic shares (IPO).
