Air traffic controllers on leave for time records

Five air traffic controllers at Isavia have been sent on leave after they were registered in work facilities without having done the job at the same time. As a result, they did not fulfill the conditions for maintaining full rights.

Kjartan Briem, Managing Director of Isavia Ans, says the scope is under review.

Reported to the Transport Agency

« Isavia Ans has announced to the Transport Agency that there have been cases where air traffic controllers did not follow the rules of registering during the time of work in the workplace. Five air traffic controllers were sent to an indefinite license when the case arose. »

« In the internal inspection of Isavia Ans, a few cases were revealed where air traffic controllers had not complied with internal and external rules on registration time in the workplace to maintain full rights, » says a statement from Isavia.

Never underwit

Asked, Kjartan says that there has never been a position that the subordinate has been in light of the fact that people have been registered for work without doing the job at the same time.

« There was no such thing that came up, » says Kjartan.

« These men were in the workplace. They logged in and were working to process air traffic. They were registered longer in the workplace than the reality was. So they really had not worked as much as they needed to maintain certain labor rights.
