Aguiar-Branco gathers with Zelensky in Kiev and evokes victims of Busha
The President of the Assembly of the Republic is in Ukraine, this Monday, to participate in an evocative ceremony of the three years of the Busha Massacre. From the trip is also a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Aguiar-Branco arrived this morning Kiev, accompanied by the deputy and former parliamentary leader of PS Eurico Brilhante Dias, current president of the Portuguese Friendship Parliamentary Group.
The first point of the agenda is participation in a ceremony in honor of the victims of the Busha Tragedy, where in April 2022, reports and images of various atrocities began to be released. More than 300 bodies were found in the city near the capital of Ukraine.
After the ceremony in honor of the victims of Busha, Aguiar-Branco participates in Kiev in a parliament presidents and then gathers with Volodymyr Zelensky.
Before returning to Lisbon, the President of the Assembly of the Republic will be at a dinner offered by the Ukrainian counterpart, Ruslan Stefanchuk.
It should be noted that this was the only trip to abroad that the President of the Assembly of the Republic maintained on the official agenda after the President of the Republic, dissolved Parliament on the 19th, following the lead in the motion of confidence to the government.
