Agent who hit Fabian (11) for council chamber and disappeared through decline (Brussels)
The agent who came on Monday 2 June Fabian Ormanji (11) in the Elizabeth Park in Ganshoren, resulting in his death, appeared before the council chamber on Friday. He will speak out this afternoon about his further pre -trial detention. Striking: the agent and his lawyer have avoided the press by using a decline.
The boy was hit when he was on his way home with an electric scooter. The police wanted to check him because he was too young to use such a scooter. The precise circumstances are still unclear, but Fabian fled away from the check, after which the police started the pursuit. It came to a collision. The boy was still taken to the hospital, but died there from his injuries.
The Brussels public prosecutor appointed Committee P to conduct the investigation. It showed that the siren or flashing lights had not been used during the chase. The agent, whose statements did not match the findings of Committee P, was arrested on Monday and placed by the council chamber on Tuesday under the arrest order, under electronic supervision. The man was suspected of malicious obstacle of traffic resulting from death. On Friday afternoon the council chamber will decide whether he will remain in pre -trial detention, or will be released.
