Most proceeds achieved the investigation services from social security fraud, unauthorized work (black work), social dumping and social debts in the construction and meat sector. Last year a total of 137,796 investigations were concluded by the social inspection services, 8,723 of which were on social dumping.
Exactly, the fight against social fraud yielded 434,865,303 euros last year. That is a lot more than the 385.5 million euros in 2023. The investigation service last year achieved fewer revenues from recovered support from the COVID measures last year. The proceeds from domicile fraud seem to have risen in 2024 compared to the years before.
The SIOD also received 7,231 reports on suspicions of social fraud in companies last year. This mainly concerned black work, illegal work (performing work as a self -employed person, without being officially recognized as a self -employed person) and domicile fraud (not indicating cohabitation or moving).
