Again person injured in shooting on Raadsplein in Anderlecht (inland)
A person was injured in a shooting on the Raadsplein in Anderlecht last night. That reports La Capital And the Local Police Brussels South (Anderlecht/Sint-Gillis/Prince) confirms the news. The victim is not in danger.
« Around 11.30 pm a person presented himself in a Brussels hospital who showed a shot wound, » says police spokesman Gert Claus. « That person was injured in his arm and was not in danger. We opened an investigation and it turned out that a shooting had occurred on the council square. The correct circumstances and the reason for the facts were being investigated. »
Various shooting incidents have occurred on and around Raadsplein in recent weeks. For example, two people were injured on 17 March, one in a shooting on Raadsplein, the second in a stabbing in the nearby Hoedstraat. The shooting was probably a retribution for the stabbing.
In the night of 18 to 19 April a man on a scooter then fired different shots on the facade of a cafe on the same Raadsplein, and in the night of 5 to 6 May a night shop was under fire. Although there were no injuries in both incidents.
