Again in Hungary jury Stepjan Hauser

The world -famous Croatian cellist, Stepjan Hauser, is once again jury in Hungary. The only classical musical talent researcher in Hungary, the judgment of the Virtuoso Jubilee Season, interviewed the show, telling him that cello is self -expression, common language and bridge between people and cultures. From May 30, the Hungarian audience will see him again on Fridays from 8:30 pm on the Danube screen.

Virtuoso’s young talents are not only monitored, but it also helps to develop their abilities. Do you remember who was the teacher or mentor who had the greatest influence on you musically and humanly? What did you teach you to this day?

I am lucky because over the years I have been able to attend many masterclasses with the world’s greatest cellists and masters. These are legendary artists. For example, I will never forget the exciting moment when I could meet Rostropovic. He was the king of the cellists, the embodiment of history himself. For me, he was my role model, the encounter was an unforgettable and inspirational experience, so much so that I felt like another person afterwards. Although I was able to learn from a lot of great teachers, I still developed the most by listening to the performances of the big masters, listening to their recordings, concerts on CD or DVD. I think that This is how to learn the fastest through experiences. But it is also important for everyone to find their own style over time. You do not need to copy, imitate, find your own « voice ».

Many people are curious about what music he listens to in their private life. If you could go back in time and give your childhood one music, what would it be or why?

In my first 25 years, I focused almost exclusively on classical music. Not only did I listen to cellists, but also violinists, conductor, pianists, symphonies, operas, chamber music, strings, trios. That was my world. At the age of 25 I started opening to other genres, musiciansthose who did not come from the world of classical music began to be interested. Michael Jackson meant something completely new and fresh to me. His rhythmic, energetic lectures inspired the 2 -cell departure. Later I discovered rock music, AC/DC, Rolling Stones and U2 were my favorites, but I was always a romantic soul, attracted to beautiful lyrical hits. I listened to the classic charms from the past, Julio Iglesias, Luis Miguel, Dean Martin, or Oliver, the Croatian singer, for example. It shows that my music world has been shaped by a lot of styles, which is why my repertoire is so diverse, and my concerts can be found.

His passionate, energetic style, and as he dresses classical music in a pop -cultural robe, made it known worldwide. A hits is actually a kind of songwriting. What causes more joy: rethinking existing music or composing their own works?

I haven’t devoted significant time to writing my own songs yet … This may be the job of the future. There are many wonderful songs in the world that can be played beautifully in cello: they often speak even nicer than in the original. I even have a lot to do with bringing these famous pieces to the cello for a new life. These versions give the songs a kind of classic dimension that makes them even deeper.

A strange relationship has one of the most well -known cellists in the world. As a member of the 2 -cell, Stjepan Hauser, who has become a star – and now on solo, also prefers not only Hungarian landscapes but also Hungarian flavors, especially when it comes to vineyards.

On stage, it seems as if it not only conveys music, but also its entire personality and emotions. What is the secret to this symbiosis?

To tell the truth, I was a very shy kid with few friends, which is why friendship today plays an important role in my life. For a long time I didn’t really find a common voice with my contemporaries. I couldn’t connect, I didn’t really go from home often, and for a long time I couldn’t really express my emotions. The cello has become the only channel I used to do. My emotions still flow through my instrument today, the cello is my true inner voice.

What is the most important in your professional and private life?

Passion! I consider myself a very passionate person, and every blessed day I get and lie with passion. Whatever the goal, I do not enthusiastically enthusiastically cut it in all areas of my life to realize it.

His latest « love project » is called Music Unites The World. Tell me a little!

I want to prove that music really connects all nations, culture and man on the planet, so I decided to have in every country – so in Hungary too -I play a song and publish a new video every other day on my Instagram page. I’m not stopping until I play a song from every corner of the world. It is a great experience to research, search, listen, and process the music that comes from different distant places in the world. I get to know new genres, legends, stories. It takes a lot of time and energy, but it’s worth every minute.

It is worth following my surfaces in social media, as the Hungarian song has already arrived, One of the biggest hits of György Korda, the airport.
