After the Praid disaster they spoke about Sovata: « A clear message »
Mureş Prefecture announced on Monday that Sovata remains a safe and open destination for tourists, the resort being not affected by the alert state established in the county, as a result of the serious situation at Salina Praid, which caused the salinity on the Târnava Mică river.
« The local authorities and tour operators send a clear message: the Sovata resort and the nearby tourist areas are not affected and they are waiting for visitors with open arms, » Mureş Prefecture explained in a press release.
According to the quoted source, all tourist activities – including access to Lake Ursu, spa treatments, hiking routes, accommodation services and local gastronomy – are carried out under normal conditions.
In the context of the alert situation established in certain localities below, on the course of the Târnava Mică river, it is important to emphasize that Sovata is not affected by the water quality problems, says Mures Prefecture.
« The resort is safe, accessible and prepared to give tourists a pleasant and relaxing experience, in full safety. Sovata and the surroundings can be visited safely – the authorities constantly monitor the situation and collaborate with the local operators to maintain a stable tourist climate, » the cited institution says.
