« After successfully completing the Nordic Skiing World Championships 2023 in Planica, which, in addition to top sporting achievements, has also provided us with important experience and knowledge, we are ready to go a step forward. With the approval of the Slovenian Government and the reliable support of key partners, we are starting a new cycle to obtain the Nordic World Cup 2031, » said SZS President in this regard Enzo spruce.
« We are convinced that we can again prove our dedication and the ability to organize a top organization, while providing new solutions to even greater attendance. I look forward to the challenges ahead, and I believe that with coordinated cooperation we will create an enthusiastic story for Slovenia and the world, » Smrekar added.

The deadline for official application is May 1, 2025, and the SZS has to pay 150,000 Swiss francs or 159,600 euros in registration fee and provide 200 days for training for all national teams under the auspices of the International Ski Association (FIS).
The final decision on the host will be made at the FIS congress, which will be held in Belgrade in May next year, and it is important to emphasize that Slovenia is not the only one in interest in organizing a major competition in the process of applying.
